Song quote of the day 10/12/2006

Top of the world - Richard Carpenter and John Bettis

Such a feelin's comin' over me
There is wonder in most everything I see
Not a cloud in the sky
Got the sun in my eyes
And I won't be surprised if it's a dream

Everything I want the world to be
Is now coming true especially for me
And the reason is clear
It's because you are here
You're the nearest thing to heaven that I've seen

I'm on the top of the world lookin' down on creation
And the only explanation I can find
Is the love that I've found ever since you've been around
Your love's put me at the top of the world

Getting my life back on track!

Did you ever wake up to realize you suddenly have all the answers?
It happened to me, I dreamt the most most beautiful dream, I saw
me living my life, I was happy, more than I have ever been before.
It felt so good, I didn't want to wake up. The dream opened my eyes,
I now know what I want and need, and I'll try to get it!
It might take me some time, but it'll be well worth it!

Happy thoughts for today:

1. Kids are all better
2. I'll have time to study today!
3. I'm on top the world!

R.I.P Cory Lidle

A small plane carrying New York Yankee Cory Lidle crashed into a 50-story apartment building Wednesday, killing the pitcher and a second person. My thoughts go out to Cory's wife, Melanie, their son, Christopher and all those
who need support after this terrible loss.

Cory played 9 Major league seasons (82-72 won-lost record, 4.57 earned run average) for 7 different teams
(New York Mets, Tampa Bay Devil Rays, Oakland Athletics, Toronto Blue Jays, Cincinnati Reds, Philadelphia Phillies,
New York Yankees) Anyone who loves baseball will miss him.
